Brentwood, NY (July 1, 2023) – A woman was rushed to an area hospital following an explosion in Suffolk County on Wednesday, June 28.
At around 5:25 p.m., the police and firefighters out of Brentwood were called to the scene of an explosion that took place on Arthur Street.
Reports from authorities indicate that a propane stove exploded at a residence located on the roadway during the evening hours.
A woman that was inside the structure at the time of the incident was severely hurt. Brentwood Legion Ambulance responded to the scene to provide care for the injured woman. The victim was then transported by helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she underwent emergency treatment for severe burn injuries.
At this time, multiple law enforcement agencies are investigating the incident.
