Norwalk, OH (July 11, 2023) – A man suffered injuries as a result of a serious explosion that took place on Monday, July 10.

According to reports provided by the Norwalk Fire Department, an oxygen tank explosion took place at a home located at 83 Parsons Street. Authorities arrived at the scene and located heavy smoke pouring out of the residence.

One person suffered severe burns and other injuries as a result of the explosion. The victim, an adult male, was transported to Fisher Titus Medical Center, where they underwent emergency treatment. The victim was then life slated to MetroHealth for further care.

The cause of the explosion is currently being investigated.
