Lexington, KY (July 15, 2023) – Two people suffered injuries as a result of an explosion that took place on Friday morning in Lexington.
Calls for help were received just before 8:00 a.m. on July 14.
Reports provided by the Lexington Fire Department show that a gas explosion took place at the Kentucky Horse Park during the morning hours. The incident involved a gas-fired grill inside a privately owned food truck.
Two people suffered severe burn injuries to the lower extremities. The victims were transported to area hospitals, where they were admitted in serious condition.
The police department is currently investigating the incident.
