Cushing, MN (August 8, 2023) – A 65-year-old man lost his life as a result of an explosion that occurred on a farm located in Morrison County.
At around 11:45 a.m. on August 5, Randall Fire and Rescue, Scandia Valley Fire Department, and Mayo Clinic Ambulance responded to the scene of a major incident located on a farm just three miles north of Randall.
Reports show that a 65-year-old man was using his tractor at the farm when an underground propane tank exploded. The incident left the man severely burned, resulting in the need for emergency medical care.
The victim was flown by Life Link helicopter to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he later passed away from his injuries.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
