Denver, CO (August 13, 2023) – One person was transported to an area hospital following an explosion that took place in the Washington Park West section of Denver on Thursday evening, August 10.

Just after 6:00 p.m., the Denver fire department and emergency officials were called to the scene of an explosion that occurred on South Lincoln Street.

News reports indicate that a fourplex located in the 400 block of the roadway was the site of a major explosion. The incident directly impacted three of the units located in the structure.

One person was injured as a result of the explosion in transported to an area hospital.

Eight units were displaced due to the incident.

Investigations to determine what caused the explosion are currently underway.
