Mooresville, NC (August 22, 2023) – The Iredell County Emergency Management confirmed that one person died as a result of an explosion at Tennessee Titans’ cornerback Caleb Farley’s home early Tuesday morning, August 22.
Official reports show that a home explosion occurred at around midnight on Barber Loop Road. Authorities responded to the scene and located the damaged home located near Old Arborway Road.
One person was located with injuries at the scene and transported to an area hospital for emergency medical care.
While searching the home, authorities located a second victim who was fatally injured. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities confirmed that the victim was the 61-year-old father of Caleb Farley. Farley is a cornerback for the Tennessee Titans.
The cause of the explosion is being investigated and is currently focused on the property's gas lines.
