Detroit, MI (October 4, 2023) – A home explosion reported on the West Side of Detroit on Monday, October 2, left one person hurt.

At around 3:40 p.m., the Detroit Fire Department was requested at the scene of a fire on Sussex Street.

Local news sources indicate that a home explosion took place in the 16,000 block of Sussex Street. The explosion caused the house to catch on fire, resulting in damage.

A 28-year-old woman was injured as a result of the explosion. The woman was transported to a local hospital for emergency care.
