Pecos, TX (October 8, 2023) – The Pecos Police Department responded to the scene of a fatal explosion that occurred on Saturday morning, October 7.
At around 10:15 a.m., the Pecos Emergency Services were notified that an explosion occurred in the 600 block of West Interstate 20.
Although details surrounding the incident are limited, two people suffered fatal injuries as a result of the tank exploding at the location.
Six people were treated for injuries while at the scene. However, all six victims refused further medical care.
The incident is currently being investigated.
