Wichita Falls, TX (November 7, 2023) – The police and firefighters are working to determine the cause of an explosion that occurred on Sunday evening in Wichita Falls.

According to reports from the Wichita Falls Fire Department fire investigator, the incident occurred at around 8:30 p.m. on November 5.

According to local news sources, an explosion occurred in the 1600 block of Christina Road during the evening hours. One person stated that they smelled gas in the home prior to the explosion. The home occupant left but returned later. Shortly after arriving home, the explosion occurred.

The home suffered significant damage as a result of the explosion.

The homeless occupant was injured in the explosion. The victim was transported to a local hospital for emergency care.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.
