Explosions in Texas
Home explosions can take place for a variety of reasons. Unfortunately, gas leaks continued to be a contributing factor to many of these incidents. These incidents occur when a build-up of flammable gases is ignited by a flame, spark, or another source of ignition. There are many reasons why these incidents happen.
In some cases, leaks can be a result of damaged or deteriorated gas lines. They can also be caused by faulty appliances or other issues in the gas distribution system.
Natural gas, propane, and methane are more likely to be involved in explosions due to the fact that they are more easily ignited and combust. Unfortunately, electrical sparks, open flames, and even heat sources can cause an ignition to occur.
Explosions can be devastating. Many people involved in explosions are left with severe injuries that impact their lives forever. It is common for victims to suffer severe burns, blast injuries, and even severe lacerations as a result of flying objects striking them.
