Cleveland, OH (November 22, 2023) – An explosion reported on the east side of Cleveland claimed one person’s life. The incident occurred at around 9:00 p.m. on November 19.
According to local law enforcement, a vehicle accident was reported in the area, prompting the response of law enforcement officers. As the police proceeded to the crash site, a building in the 3400 block of East 139th Street exploded. More than 60 firefighters were deployed to the scene to battle the blaze.
While battling the blaze, firefighters removed a 68-year-old woman from one of the apartments in the structure. The woman was severely harmed in the explosion. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
